These manmade activities have polluted the environment and disturbed the ecological balance. The forest areas are on the wane. Naturally, it has an adverse impact on the forest life. Beasts and birds are an integral part of our forests, but they have become extinct due to hunting and poaching, clearing of forests for agriculture, industry, residence and other developmental activities, as theses activities result in the destruction of their habitat. They cannot win this struggle for survival as they find themselves helpless before the ‘mighty’ man. Many species of animals have already become extinct, as man hunts them wantonly for flesh, fun and money. The process of extinction of wildlife continues unabated. In the past, animals had to face the ravages of nature, but not the threat from human greed which is responsible for the decline of wildlife.
