Paragraph on Self-Help for Class 6, 7, 8, 9, 10

Paragraph on Self-Help for Class 6, 7, 8, 9, 10

Self-help means reliance on oneself; it is the habit of doing one’s own duty oneself. Man is a social being, and it is necessary for him to seek others’ help and advice. But this is not, in any way, contrary to the supreme virtue of self-help. The lives of self-made luminaries like Ishwar Chand Vidyasagar, Faraday and Mother Teresa are tall illustrations who scaled the summit of success by the virtue self-help. It is pity that most people are hardly aware of the value of self-help. The habit of depending upon others even for minor jobs starts right from the childhood in the family. It is the paramount duty of parents to teach their children in the family. It is the paramount duty of parents to teach their children the virtue of self-help. They should guide and nurture their children such that they can help themselves in all tasks of life. God helps those who help themselves. Success can never be achieved without this virtue.
