Essay on My ambition in Life to Become a Doctor 700 Words

Introduction- Everybody has an aim in life. Aim or ambition is the inner desire of man. No man can do anything in the world if his aim is not fixed. So, all of us should be very clear about our aim in life. We may face difficulties in getting what we aim at. But we have to go ahead at any cost. I have already fixed the aim of my life. There was a time when profession of person was determined by birth. But now the times have changed. We are democratic country. Everyone is free to choose his own profession. Life in these days is very hard. If your profession is not properly selected, it becomes difficult for a person to get succession in it. His whole life is spoiled. He finds it difficult to adjust himself to a wrong profession, so in these fast changing times, the need and importance of rightly choosing a profession is very great.

Choice of profession-Now the question arises how to make the choice what poets should be kept in mind? Who should make the choice? Let us be clear about these points. Every profession does not suit everyone. One's success in a profession very much depends upon one's physical health. A lame man cannot join the military. A man with a defective voice can never be good musicians. A man whose heart is weak cannot be a good surgeon so the first factor which must be kept in mind while making the choice is physical health. Man differs in luster. There are men who do not like to remain sitting in offices chairs. They like active life. Some like to travel and visit different places others have literary taste. They are born with books in their hands and die books in their hands. So the taste and aptitudes in men differ. While making the choice of a profession tastes of a person concerned must be taken into consideration.

Difference of professions- Some professions are held in high esteem by society. Others are not respected so much. Doctors, Professors, Engineers, Lawyers are supposed to belong to the best profession. In ancient India, teachers enjoyed the highest position in society. But the times are now changed. Teachers don't enjoy that much social respect, so the choice of a profession must be made from the point of view of social respect also.

Importance of money- We live in a materialistic age. Men want money at any cost. They do not care for the means by which they get money. Some profession is better than other as far as money is concerned. That is why some like to be businessmen They not only get enough money but also enjoy independence. This should also be borne in mind while selecting a profession.

My choice: Doctor- Keeping in mind all the points, mentioned above I find that medical profession is the best. I want to become a doctor.

A noble profession- A doctor lives a noble life. He is always at the service of suffering people. A sick man looks at him with hope and joy. The smiling face of a doctor makes the patient cheerful. A good doctor is respected everywhere. If I become a doctor, I shall earn a lot of money. But I must be very kind to the poor and needy people. I will not charge any fee from them. I shall be helping the helpless.

I have studied biology. I will sit for the competitive tests for admission to a medical college. I want to be a serious student. That is, I will not waste my time anywhere. But I shall try to be a good and qualified doctor. I will be helping the patients with whatever I have. I shall devote all my time to studies. Once I become a doctor, I shall have some plans.

Plans- I will set up my clinic in a village. Of course, I will earn money. But money will not be my main aim. I shall work day and night. I want to make a big name. I shall charge full fees from rich people. I will not charge fees from those who are very, very poor. But they will have to pay just a rupee or two. This money will go to some hospital. Days are not far off. I am trying hard to realize my ambition. I wish my sweet dream would be fulfilled.
