Paragraph on My idea of historical character or a hero from history : History is replete with heroes. They have been great conquerors, warriors and generals. They have been also great Statesmen, diplomats and sword wielders. Napoleon, Hitler and Stalin have been Heroes of one type. Ashoka, Akbar and Gandhi have ruled the world in their own way. Of all these names the name of Ashoka shines like a lone star as H.G. Wells claims. Ashoka was the son of king Bindusara and the grandson of great Chandragupta Maurya.
Paragraph on My idea of historical character or a hero from history
History is replete with
heroes. They have been great conquerors, warriors and generals. They have been
also great Statesmen, diplomats and sword wielders. Napoleon, Hitler and Stalin
have been Heroes of one type. Ashoka, Akbar and Gandhi have ruled the world in
their own way. Of all these names the name of Ashoka shines like a lone star as
H.G. Wells claims. Ashoka was the son of king Bindusara and the grandson of
great Chandragupta Maurya. Now this Chandragupta was the founder of Maurya
dynasty. He was a top class administrator. Ashoka, like his great ancestors,
was a great conqueror. But he was unlike them in one thing. After the war of
Kalinga, he vowed never to wage a war. He disbanded his Army. He became totally
a changed man. He loved mankind. He served humanity heart and soul. He became a
saint-monarch. He loved his subjects as a father loves his children. His place
in history is assuredly higher. He is the greatest of the Greats.
